SUCCESS AT THE WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2023
The World Athletics Championships in Budapest were an incredible event for PUMA. Our athletes picked up six gold, eight silver and eight bronze medals during the competition, which is twice the number of medals compared to Eugene in 2022. Ahead of the event, we welcomed more than 85 global media outlets to the PUMA House in Budapest to celebrate our 178 competing athletes and 18 participating federations.
AND THE WINNER IS … NITRO™
From short distance runs to marathons and everything in between, the shoes featuring PUMA’s NITRO™ technology have been recognized as some of the best on the market. This is also reflected in the multiple awards we have won, including the Men’s Health Sneaker Awards 2023, SELF Sneaker Awards 2023 and Runner’s World 2023 Shoe Awards.
BUILDING THE #PUMAFAM
PUMA signed several new athletes in 2023, including reigning Men’s 100m Olympic Champion Marcell Jacobs, St. Lucian sprint sensation Julien Alfred, two-time Marathon World Champion Edna Kiplagat, and German middle-distance runner Konstanze Klosterhalfen.
MONDO DUPLANTIS JUMPS TO NEW HEIGHTS
PUMA Athlete Armand “Mondo” Duplantis continued to prove he is superhuman by setting the pole vault world record for a seventh time!
PUMA had nine Diamond League Champions at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, including a double victory by Shericka Jackson in the 100m and 200m – setting a meet record in the latter.
#1 CROSSFIT GAMES
Gold-medal winning shoes? Go on then! PUMA Athlete Joshua Al-Chamaa took home first place at the CrossFit Games as a part of Team Invictus, wearing FUSE 2.0.
PUMA X ALEX TOUSSAINT
Our indoor-cycling hero Alex Toussaint debuted a brand new, first of its kind collaboration shoe: PWRSPIN x AT.
PUMA-FYING RACE DAY
Our visibility at race days continues to go from strength to strength, as we became official race partners of the San Francisco Marathon and the Manchester Half Marathon.
